Who is not impressed by the physical and mental resistance of people achieving admirable results while not possessing 100 % of an able body.

Their main theatre of attention happens only every 2 years, at the respective summer and winter Paralympics.

IOC pretends that it wants to enhance the visibility and media exposure of the event yet in reality it does nothing to achieve that. The solution is simple, at hand and there for everyone who wants to see it.

Instead of organising the Paralympics a few weeks after the Olympics they should be organised prior to the Olympics. There is a huge marketing build up to each Olympic Game but the Paralympics only get those few weeks in between both organisations. Before that, all attention is focussed on the Olympics.

The IOC does not want to organise the Paralympics first because it is wary of losing TV ratings due to viewers fatigue. I would argue that will not happen, but the IOC does not want to take the risk.

The TV rights payments are the main pillar of financial income for the IOC and far outway the other revenue streams such as sponsorship, ticketing and merchandising.

And so it stays with idle promises and meager real efforts.

I challenge the IOC to tell me why they do not invert the timing of both events.
