Track and field, the mother sport of the Olympics, has totally missed its evolution. It is basically still the same as 100 years ago, with better surfaces and better spikes.

It is incredibly boring to sit in a stadium and watch a track and field meeting which can go on for 3 hours or more.

And I should know, as I was one of the world's leading track and field athlete managers in the past.

For years I am trying to get them to speed up the different events but they keep insisting on this very boring on track athlete presentation when they are already in their lanes or at the starting line. The athletes make it more boring by every time again making the little hearts with their hands or showing the country or the sponsor they run for. It is boring on tv and more boring when you sit in the stadium.
